Welcome!
The Tampere Club's Argumenta-project
aims to produce new openings in the dialogue of democracy
and social innovations. The project is also intended to establish
an open discussion between the legistlators and the scientific
community.
There have been very little discussion about the relations
of democracy and social innovations in Finland. Top level
scientific discussion and research knowledge on the matter
has been insuffient.
Part of the reason for this is that the concept and discussion
of democracy has suffered inflation. The dialogue is scattered
all over. Alone the different forms of democracy should be
taken under a complete scientific investigation. The concept,
theory and especially the applications of social innovations,
are still finding their form.
The seminar series aim to form a top level international science
forum which produces new knowledge nationally and internationally.
The project gathers scientists from different culture backgrounds
and creates relations between international science scene
and Finnish researchers. This networking is aimed at long
term co-operation and scientific programs that are based on
the co-operation.
The project is carried out in co-operation with the University
of Helsinki, University of Jyväskylä, University
of Turku and University of Tampere
